Hi ,

we have a customer who is looking to purchase handheld devices to run IFS Scanit - Apps 10 (IEE)

  1. Anyone got information on Recommended RAM and Storage that should be checked before purchasing a device?  ( I can see the mobile frameworks recommendations here. But this is for Cloud https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/23r1/080_supported_platforms/. I am specifically looking for App10 IEE )
  2. Anyone got a list of recommended devices which can be run via IFS Scanit 10 ?

Kind Regards

Only thing I could find quickly was this: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/Foundation1/040_administration/415_touch_apps/090_touch_apps/default.htm

But not much mentioning hardware/RAM. there might be other documentation somewhere for the mobile technical requirements.

I would guess the requirements would be in the same ballpark as the one for 23R1 at least for the Aurena app and maybe with less requirements for the non Aurena app since it was built on an older mobile fw.

@MuzYashoN I agree with Dario. When you said “App10 IEE” do you mean you want to run the Windows version of the Scan It app (https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9mz8hbvlbg10?hl=en-us&gl=US) or is it something different?

Hi @Rukmal Fernando

Thank you for the message.

I have a customer who is currently on Apps 10 IEE. And they are looking to purchase Android devices from Zebra run WaDaCo. They need to know the hardware/software checklist before buying the devices such as RAM/Storage etc

@MuzYashoN I would recommend looking for a future proof set of devices.

I believe you will go for IFS Aurena Scan It 10, where the minimum OS version is Android 6. I’m not 100% sure whether you can access this, but it’s documented here: https://ifs.sharepoint.com/sites/ProductSupportedPlatforms/SitePages/IFS-Applications-10-Supported-Platforms.aspx

That said, I suggest you look at the IFS Cloud Supported Platforms page for more recent recommendations, which is Android 9 or up with a minimum of 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.
