I don’t know if I don’t understand the process or there’s a bug, but when I set up SFM for a simple function such as exhaust in the example of this procedure with two causes for the same component, it acts really weird:It duplicated one of the causes when there are two different ones set up. (I even redid them from scratch to make sure I didn’t mess up) When you select a template that has two causes for one component, it highlights both, but only brings in the one template that applies to both. Where do the values such as Function, Type, Cause, and Component end up on the work order/Work Task? These are valuable KPIs.Attached is the write up for a customer I’m working on. They really want to use SFM.@Mayura Wasantha - I know you’re crazy busy, but who can help me with this?
IFS 9. Is there any option to drag&drop serial objects to functional objects? Not possible in EON but heard something about Business Object Navigator.
Hello, I want to set up some Serial Objects in our Equipment Hierarchy which may be operated, removed, repaired, and re-installed under different Functional Objects. A simple example is a Diesel Particulate filter, which we remove from the machine for cleaning every 1000 hours, place in the warehouse, then re-install on another machine at some later time. The DP filter is scrapped once it has reached 12,500 hours, so it is important we are able to track the operating hours no matter where the filter has been installed. Is there a way that the Serial Object can accumulate the engine hours recorded on the parent Functional Object for the duration which it is installed on this Object? I have not been able to find a way to do this without a great amount of tedium. Hopefully this makes sense, and any help is appreciated! Thanks
I want to copy a file that’s in Aurena (actually it’s in THOR) to a local directory. But, I am not seeing “Copy File” functionality. Did it go somewhere? I’m also not seeing this in a standard version that’s in a customer’s database.
Can Azure BLOB storage be used to save document attachments in IFS ? One of our customers has reported that database is growing rapidly due to the volume of documents they attached to records. Customer would like to consider other options and BLOB storage is preferred for the purpose. Does IFS support BLOB for the function?
I have recently been asked to report on historical Work Orders resulting in Work Centre down time. I am vaguely aware that Work Orders or Serial Objects can be linked to Work Centres but would like some guidance if someone is willing.I need to understand if, how and what should be considered if either objects or work orders are linked to a shop floor work centre.Whilst we use the shop floor work bench we do not use any of the scheduling or capacity planning tools for Shop Orders. Many thanks,Matt
