Is there a way to alert the user in MWO that the reading is below the previous? (now it only marks it as preliminary in cloud)

For now there is no warning to the user as it involves complex calculations.

Hi Maithree,

What are calculations related to the reading? it will be a warning to check the previous recorded value.

Hi,

For the Accumulated type parameters, will be able to find out “Last delta Value” as a calculation. If you will enter delta value, then system will calculate the Last Value as well.

Hope this would help.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes that is a calculation but it is not complex. It is simply the new minus the previous.

My question remains regarding the warning message.

Thanks

Yes of course. It is a simple calculation about the accumulated parameters. Actually, I did not get any warning message in the application when we are taking the measurements for the accumulated parameters. But if you go to the Maintenance Plan you can see all the due values on the PM action.

These are things can be happened here,

  • The object parameter is updated with the last measured value.
  • If delta value is recorded, it is added to the previous Recorded Reading and the new Recorded Value and Total Value are calculated.
  • If the result of the measurement falls outside of the limits defined for condition-based PM generation, it will also be displayed under the PM action to which the parameter is connected.
  • If two or more accumulated measurements are registered and a PM action is registered, it generates a condition based forecast PM plan.
  • If the measured value fails validation, the measurement is still saved, but with the Preliminary Reading measurement type. This reading will not be used to manage PM plans. It should be corrected before it can be used.
  • If the measured value of a limit parameter which has Minimum/Maximum reading thresholds defined, is out of thresholds a warning message is given and the user can decide whether to register that measurement or not.
  • If the particular object has been defined as Update from Object (Master) on the Testpoint/Parameter level of another object (Child) and setup for measurement inheritance, the child inherits the delta value generated on the master for an accumulated type parameter and the full measurement of the master for a limit type parameter.
  • If a value is entered for a condition parameter, a Condition Score will be calculated for the object. The Condition Score and History can be found on the Asset Performance Details page.
