I’d like to be able to enter a date that would then update the field ‘Required Date’.The value for this field is fetched (it’s a proper column in the logical unit), below is the SQL column detail:NVL(&AO.PROJECT_MISC_PROCUREMENT_API.Calculate_Required_Date(PROJECT_ID,ACTIVITY_SEQ,&AO.ACTIVITY_API.Get_Early_Finish(ACTIVITY_SEQ),OFFSET),&AO.ACTIVITY_API.Get_Early_Finish(ACTIVITY_SEQ)). Hi, We are looking at using advance customer invoices. The way we would like it to work is as follows:Advance invoice issued upon customer order creation and release Following invoices are issued as per the regular process but the amount from the advance invoice is deducted (if advance invoice is 10% of the CO value, 10% is deducted from the amount of subsequent invoices).Advance invoice creation is straightforward. However, we are not able to find a way for subsequent invoices to take into account the amount already paid. Practical example: I can request advance payment (via issuance of advance invoice) of 10% of CO value. The rest will be invoiced after final delivery/completion of work. Assuming a CO of 1,000Advance invoice: 100 Final invoice: 1,000 - 100The amount that is deducted should appear on the invoice.Thanks in advance (no pun intended...)
Hi,I am building a report to compare, for a project, actual vs budget/forecast. This report uses:- GL Transaction Details (purpose: retrieve actual cost/revenue) - This is the main source- Project Forecast Item (purpose: retrieve overall budget/forecast)- Project Forecast Item Period (purpose: retrieve budget/forecast spread, when it exists)My repeater is cost/revenue element (a code part value for GL transaction, cost/revenue element for Forecast Item). I have setup an extended repeater connection (as per below screenshot):When I run the report, it retrieves all the values. However, the rows with the cost/revenue elements used in the other sources (Forecast Item, Forecast Item spread) appear empty (""). The same happen if I reverse the order of the information sources (Forecast Item as main source).I've looked at the documentation but could not find a solution there. Would anyone be able to advise on how to fix this?Regards,Alexis
Hi, I’m looking at a way to indicate in the screen ‘Authorization’ the approval status of project time (project time is fetched via pl/sql from project transaction). After looking into Project_Transaction_API, I’ve found the procedure Check_Cost_Accounting (Cost_Accounting being the SQL name of the ‘Approved’ column in Project Transaction).Would anyone be able to explain to me what the procedure Check_Cost_Accounting for Project_Transaction_API does ? What does it return?What value is expected for ‘confirmed_’? I understand that ‘forced_’ is 1 by default (correct me if I’m mistaken) and I have all the other parameters. ThanksAlexis
Hi,I am setting up an event that triggers when a new purchase order is created - it is looking at one parameter on the supplier side and returns an information message depending on said parameter.It works fine when creating a purchase order from scratch. However, event does not trigger when creating a purchase order via the ‘Copy Order...’ RMB option. When looking at what’s happening (in the debug console), I see that the method Purchase_Order_API.Copy_ is used. We are in the process of setting up a project template (with standard WBS, report codes, etc.). When copying a project/sub-project (within the same company), users are able to carry over a lot of relevant information (at either project level or activity level). However, there is no way to carry over information from access definition (where you grant a project team access to a project/sub-project). Is there a way to copy information from access definition when copying a project or a sub-project? If not, any idea if it is planned in future releases? Notes:Projects/Sub-projects are within the same company The teams having access to the projects are discipline related (e.g. project management, engineering, workshop, installation etc.). Some have access to the whole project while others only have access to specific sub-projects.
In our organization, employees registering project time require approval of both the Project Manager (PM) and of their supervisor (who is not the same person in most cases).We would like the PM to be able to view all time registered against their projects and review/approve it prior to approval by employee’s supervisor.Is there something in particular to setup or a screen that can give a view (with possibility to approve) of time registered against your project(s)?Only option I can think of is to get the PM to go to Project transactions (and have filters in place so they only see the transactions related to their projects) to review/approve project time.
When creating a project invoice using an invoicing plan, the system is assigning the employee ID (as code part) to the posting related to revenue account.My understanding is that this is linked to PRJI1 (for taxable invoice) / PRJI2 (for non taxable invoice) posting controls and how code part Employee is setup (control type used, etc.). Currently, the Employee code part is associated to control type PRJC2 (Employee), i.e. is using the list of employees. This is fine for invoices using employee related project transactions. And if we use project transactions coming from Non personal project cost registration, then * is assigned as Employee ID and the system will then assign (on the invoice) a default value for the Employee code part.Since Invoicing Plan is to invoice scheduled fixed amount invoice and, at least in our case, is not linked to a particular employee, I’m wondering: is there a way for IFS to assign * as Employee ID (similar to Non Personal Project Cost Registration) instead
