After updating to SU7, all of our scheduled reports are being distributed as xlsx. When we try to open them, we receive errors that the file is corrupted. If we run the reports manually and export to xls instead, they open correctly. We have tried scheduling a couple of new reports using the Excel spreadsheet option (it doesn't specify file type at this point) and have confirmed they are all emailing as xlsx documents. Is there a way to schedule for xls instead? Or is there a way to format the report to open correctly as an xlsx?
I would like to use the call routing feature through Customer Return to generate a repair order for items being received. I am getting the following error. I have tried various return reason/action combinations and various inventory types on expected products. Please advise what this error is referring to or if there are specific settings required for a customer return in order to use this feature.
We are in Alliance 15.4, recently received the SU7 update. We have always been able to consolidate ship lists based on To Warehouse or To Company, however, we are now experiencing that using the Action > Ship function in General Queue generates the ship lists based on the original Request ID instead of based on the lines the user has chosen. I cannot replicate this in UAT, however, it is happening consistently in Production. Is this due to something new in SU7 or is this a different issue? For example, 2 lines with the same To Warehouse, both in a status of Picked, but different original docs. Choosing both lines to generate a ship list now generates 2 different ship lists instead of the (1) consolidated ship list we are accustomed to (and prefer). Suggestions?
Here’s my scenario… Technician 1 completes Activity 1 using an incomplete stop code and completes the checklist associated with Activity 1. Technician 1 then reassigns the service call to Technician 2. I need Technician 2 to be able to see the checklist answers from Activity 1. Any suggestions on how to make this happen? We can see them in the web portal, but it would be ideal for the tech to be able to view in Mobile.
We have checklists set up at the order level that are working great, however, I would like to create a checklist at the Activity level, ideally based on the stop code of the activity. However, I have been unable to get the activity checklist to populate automatically, we seem to have to add it manually. Are there different steps for this to work on an activity level checklist? Or is automation an option?
We have created an additional field in the Sales Order module that we need to put in place. If logging into our UAT environment via the Alliance back office application, all works as we intended and expected. However, we do not get the same results in the web portal. In the web portal, we only get a spinning wheel and the module never opens. Any suggestions on how to determine why there is a difference? We are running Alliance 15.4.
We are on Alliance 15.4.5 and have noticed some inconsistencies in how reports look based on which user runs a manual report or whether it is run by the batch scheduler. Certain settings in the report, such as shrink to fit, and blank columns change based on how the report is run. Do you have suggestions on how to correct or where to look to find the discrepancy?
If there are errors at time of import, we are accustomed to either having a link to click on in the screen below to see the error file or the error file downloads automatically for us. We no longer have either. How can we access the error file? Views shown from Chrome and Edge.
Hi, We are getting the following error trying to remove an employee from an action group. We were able to add the correct one, but not remove the others that are already present. We have attempted from both the Action Groups and Employees module. Do you have any insight on what this error means?
I have two instances where a report can be manually run and produce accurate results, however, when scheduling these same reports, the attachment within the email is always blank. Any suggestions on what could be causing different results when run manually versus when scheduled (using batch manager schedule queue)? We are using Alliance 15.4
We have a report (not QBE) where users are getting different results using the same parameters. What could cause this? There is nothing within the report that would cause it to filter differently and the only difference we can find in what a user can see is order type. We have tested with a number of different security roles and have not found a common thread. Would security roles affect a report? Has this changed?
We have a number or reports, etc. set up in our batch manager schedule queue. Over the weekend (10/2/2022), these seemed to come to a halt. They are all in a “processing...” state and did not recover to run reports today either. Is there a way to reset this? Or trigger the queue to move to the next applicable date?
Hi, We use automated printing for our pick/pack/ship modules each day in Alliance 15.4. As of yesterday, the pick and ship modules are not printing when using the toggles, nor are they time stamping the print date/time. We do not see anything amiss in the printing service, and the pack module is working as always, it time stamps once the toggle is activated and prints to assigned printer. Any suggestions on what to look for or address to correct this? The screenshot below indicates how we activate the automated printing. After choosing save, these fields return to blank / gray instead of seeing the print date/time that indicates it has printed.
Hello, Prior to v15.4, we were able to see images (under the Image section) in the Product Center that were added as attachments. We are no longer able to see these without opening each individual attachment. Is there a setting that affects this?
Is the My Inventory module based off of the default warehouse of the user? That had been my understanding, but in 15.4 that does not seem to be the case. If not, what warehouse is this driven by?
Since updating to Alliance 15.4, we are receiving duplicated pick lists when using automated printing. The steps we take after opening a pick list are to turn the Pick Print List toggle on, confirm printer location, and choose Save. We are getting 3 pick lists printed each time we now do this (instead of 1 previously). Is there a setting or something we should check to resolve this?
We are receiving this error when opening multiple modules after moving to Alliance 15.4. Does anyone know what is causing this or how to correct/remove? Once you choose OK, the modules function as expected.
Good morning, We are looking for process ideas/suggestions or how other customers may circumvent this issue. We are in Alliance 15. Our pick lists often have hundreds of lines. Our pickers scan the serials into the Serial field in the Pick screen (as shown). We have to save the pick list every couple of pages in order to not lose all data. However, it happens fairly often that once we get to the end of the pick list (even after saving frequently), we get the error message that all serial numbers are not entered. To go back through 700+ serials means we have to scan them all again to determine which ones were missed, and adds hours to the process. Any suggestions on how to handle this differently? Any way to import the serials to a pick list if over a certain quantity? Any way to receive a pop-up or anything when a serial is missed on a line? We have one user who was personalizing his view of the General Queue in the web portal (Alliance 15) and is now getting the error below when opening this module. He can access it fine in the Astea Browser. Is there a way to clear the cache, deinstall, etc. in the web portal that would reset this for him? Or any other suggestions?
Hi, We are using Alliance 15.2, we opened a bulk repair purchase req and shipped out the items on a vendor return. Upon trying to receive the repaired items back into stock from the vendor, we receive the error shown below. We found that the original PR was still in a status of Requisition Opened, so we are unsure how the VR was even created at this point. This is the only point that we found to not match all other transactions of this type.We were able to force the PR into a status of approved and vendor accepted, but neither allow us to receive against the VR. Before moving to approved, we also tried cancelling, submitting, and removing items from the original PR. All resulted in error.The items on the PR/VR are serialized and are all in a status of Sent to Vendor. The status on the VR shows Fulfilled / Awaiting Return Products and the Ship List is shipped in full.At this point, the priority need is to receive the items back into good inventory. Suggestions?
Hello, We have our MOE set to generate repair orders on returnable items automatically through the service order. This function defaults the fix date (eta_date) on the repair order to be 3 hours in the future. Is there a way to change this? We can set a default on the field in the repair order screen, but it does not apply to those opened through a service order. I thought maybe there was a setting or MOE option that I was missing that could be updated for those. Suggestions?
Hi, It seems I am not able to add a sub report to an existing report in Report Customizer anymore. The Add Sub Report button generates the query screen, but there is no way to Submit or Add. I’ve tried resizing, used different reports, etc. but cannot see the buttons at the bottom (at least that’s where they previously were). Suggestions?
I need to adjust a security role to be able to “activate” a repair order once the product has arrived. I have tweaked a number of settings and this step is still not available. Those that currently have the ability have a much wider range of access. Can you tell me if a specific module or setting controls this feature? Current setting for repair order are set up like the below. We are using Alliance 15.2.
We are using Alliance 15.2. We run replenishment orders for 40 warehouses sourced from main warehouse. Recently, the last 5 warehouses have not been getting replenished. The warehouses and suggested quantities are listed in the replenishment order under product list, but when we choose to ‘Create Orders’ it seems it hits a limit around warehouse #35 and orders are not created for the last few. Is there a limit on the number of warehouses / products / orders in a replenishment order? If so, where could I view/change these? Or any other suggestions on why this has started happening?
Hi, We are using Alliance v15.2. I am interested in testing the is_kit (from table bpart) field when using the pack report, but we can’t find the field… we see reference to it in Data Dictionary and Report Customizer. It is also not showing available in Screen Customizer. How can we determine where this field is and how to update it? If it is not editable, but is driven by another setting, can you tell me that as well?
