We occasionally have MRP jobs in error with the following message Error snapshot MRP Supply/Demand. Site/Part/ABC Class ABC/123123123123/C. Source/Order MRP/29578848, *, *, 37. Original error ORA-20112: MrpPartSupplyDemand.EXIST2: The Mrp Part Supply Demand object already exists. We do tick the ‘Stop on Error’ checkbox when running because if there is an error we want to know about it. We’ve never completely bottomed out what set of circumstances have fallen into place that generate this error and generally put it down to maybe someone updating demand or supply manually or running MRP at the same time. Does anyone in the community know what particular processes/conflicts are taking place to generate this error? Thanks.
Has anyone encountered issues in Apps9 where a Customer Order Invoice errors with the below message? The setup is a bit complex - multi site in the same company, multiple places of supply therefore multiple tax situations for the customer, but this error only occurred when I created a CO and applied “Additional Discount” in the CO header. I processed another CO on exactly the same site/customer/parts/tax scenario with discount on the CO lines, and the invoice processed without error. “CO Invoice in Error - "Only a Tax Code with Zero percentage is allowed when Customer is exempted for Taxes..." Any thoughts/suggestions/solutions gratefully received! ThanksLinda
Just curious why the terminology when registering a PO arrival in Cloud is “Proceed” or “Discard” as opposed to “OK” and "Cancel”?

Does anyone have a sraightforward ‘how to’ guide on setting up employees in Cloud, please? We don’t use HCM in its full capacity. I just need to set employees up to either report hours on Projects using Time Registration OR report hours on Shop Orders connected to a Labour Class. This is what I’d use in Apps9 then attach to a Resource Group for Time Reg users or a Labour Class for Shop Floor Workbench users. I can find this screen but there’s no ‘create new/add’ functionality…

Am I missing something? This is one example. There are other screens similar I find. When I open the Purchase Order screen why is “Order Number” not one of the default search selectors? Is this an unusal request? Another ‘pet peeve’ would be that I have to re-select this Order No search field every time I open the screen. Is there any way to ‘save’ which search options have been selected previously? It’s such a waste of time/so inefficient. Thanks!
Dear Hive Mind…Just looking for some information on the pros/cons/correct choice to make re Supply Chain Matrix, please. SC Matrix is not something we’ve used before so I’m doing some testing. Our Distribution Calendar is a 5 day working week one. We have no Supplier Calendar or External Transport Time set or any days against Route/Ship via etc. Supp for PP record has leadtime entered (28 - as I undrestand ‘calendar days’) and Inspection Leadtime (4 - as I understand ‘working days’). Calc Purchase Leadtime is run. When I run MRP, there is no difference in the Latest Order Date result on the purchase req if I set up an Internal Transport Time on the Supply Chain Matrix for Site/from External Supplier or on the Supplier Chain Matrix for Supplier/to Demand Site.Is there a view as to which is the ‘correct’ way? Any thoughts gratefully received!ThanksLinda
I’m trying to create a custom field on Customer Order Line which returns the sum of total Available qty across multiple sites. We have parts in stock on multiple sites so the sales team would like to see, when raising an order on the ‘main’ sales site, if there is available stock on any of the other sites in the same company. Does anyone know if it is possible in Cloud to setup emailing invoices (confirmations, pro-formas etc) to multiple contacts, please? I appreciate there are a number of other handles to turn but basically in Apps9 I know if I set up an entry like this in the Comm Method tab of the Customer with abc@company.com; xyz@company.com; 123@company.com in the Value field, customer invoices will be emailed to all three addresses. So far, all I can glean is you enter your email address here... … and then pick it up from the List on the Payment/AR Customer Contact section. But this is only a single contact - not multipleAny thoughts/ideas/suggestions/know-how would be greatly appreciated! Thanks LInda
Am I missing something? Is it possible to just type in a Date Range in Cloud? The “between” .. is listed when I click the Help ‘?’ but when I type in the date range as below I get an “invalid format” message. To be honest, being a bit ‘old school, if I know the two dates I don’t want to waste my time scrolling up and down through calendars to select start date finish dates, I just want to type in the dates Thanks!

Does anyone know if it’s possible to schedule a Task between particular times? I’m looking to scheduled a task daily to run every two minutes but only between 6am and 8pm each day. Any PL/SQL assistance would be appreciated. Many thanks.
Has anyone added a Custom Field to MRP Action Proposals (Apps9)? It is one of the few screens with the following message: The Logical Unit MrpPartAction does not support Custom Fields or Information Cards. The base view does not implement the required ROWKEY functionality.Has anyone successfully activated the ROWKEY to enable adding a CF … or will this bring a whole world of pain down on my shoulders? Is it feasible in Cloud to restrict the available choices from a dropdown? For example, per below we only want “Shipment and Customer Order” to be the available choice. We found it invaluable in Apps9 to prevent incorrect selection/setup. (Actioned here in Apps9)
Can anyone advise what my expectations should be in Cloud with regards to clicking a field name in order to sort results? The screenshot below is in Material/Services (Project Definition). I clicked Supply Option and it sorted by this field (confirmed by the up-pointing carat) but we were process testing in Receipts earlier today and clicking fields in the header didn’t appear to work. My colleague and I have encountered this in other screens too. I’m hoping it should be available view/application-wide …?? Thanks!Linda
Will I ever learn to love Cloud over IEE? I’m looking at a Routing for a part number 123-XYZ-NN66-8579/A. I want create a new Inventory Part for 123-XYZ-NN66-8579/B. How I long to be able to highlight the part number in the Routing, click CTRL+C and then open the Inventory Part screen, click ‘+’ and then CTRL+V. If anyone has a similarly slick alternative I’d love to hear from you Thanks, Community!:-) Linda
Does anyone have any clue as to what drives the Company Tax ID that gets returned against M vouchers, please??We are using Apps9 and have a company registered for Tax in various EU countries. So far this year, a number of M vouchers have been raised and, as you can see below, they are retrieving sometimes our UK tax ID, sometimes BE, sometimes FR and sometimes none at all. The Transaction Codes vary betWEEN AP1, AP2, MANUAL and INTERIM. There is no Supplier or Customer or site being entered or retrieved so no obvious place that a Country is being returned. I still have a similar unresolved question about random Tax IDs being retrieved against Mixed Payments too. I did raise a case but it wasn’t picked up as Apps9 is out of support. Any shared experience/ideas from the “Community Collective Brain” would be much appreciated! ThanksLInda
Can someone advise what I should expect regarding what Buyer and Planner information is retrieved when raising a Purchase Req (Part) please? We have an Inventory Part set up with Planner JBLOGGS, Purchase Part record is set up with Buyer = JBLOGGS yet when I raise a Purchase req line for this part, the Buyer defaults to the User ID (also can’t find where to change default Buyer against User but I’m sure that will come soon!)Thanks Linda

Does anyone have any info/documentation/knowledge, please, on Transaction Revaluation Events? We’re in Apps9, running weighted average costing. This is an OOREC/Receipt of Shop Order transaction for a Shop Order connected to a Project. It’s the first time we have manufactured the part. I don’t think that’s partiularly relevant as there are other OORECs with Reval Events on parts we have manufactured multiple times. The total cost of the shop order is the 3506.86 (3336.46+170.4) and the part’s current inventory value is 3506.86. The part was subsequently issued at 3506.86. Material Cost on the SO was 2086.59, Op Cost was 1420.27. Why did it not just OOREC at 3506.86? Where does this 3336.46 come from? I’m sure the answer will be blindingly obvious … Thanks in advance!

We have a series of authorisation rules in place for Project requisitions based on value. These are along the lines ofup to 10k by Project Manager 10k-20k by Project Manager & Department Head 20k+ Project Manager, Department Head & FD Is it possible to have an additional rule, where non-project reqs just go to Finance Manager for sign-off?Is it just as straightforward as ticking the Apply for Non Project Connected PR and making sure the Priority is a higher number than our existing rules?
