We are attempting to implement shop floor workbench and manufacturing control plans for Shop order execution; current state we run a crystal report and technicians fill out the paper copy. We are running into concerns of traceability (what is where, what was done when). We currently have an external serial tracking system we added to IFS, but we are looking into implementing the internal serial number tracking. Is there any shop floor reporting / Manufacturing in process serial number tracking? (ex.: if my executable qty is 4 and i enter 2, I'm required to enter what SNs I am approving through to the next operation)? Or any other “in process” serial tracking features? Workbench or manufacturing control plan specific. Any info helps!

An employee accidentally made the operation status closed, I want to undo this operation.To do that, right click on the relevant line in Cancel Operation Reports and the error shown in the picture see below. I cannot solve this error.
I can' t find operation tools in ShopOrder. IFS and MES system are integration. Therefore I have to see the operation tools.
How the shop order can be closed, when there is enough purchase part in quantity in stock. Shop order is reserve partially. Recreated in 23R2 Regional test LKP.Manufacture part: SIV-M0002Purchase part: SIV-M0002-1, Note Purchased, Negative On Hand Allowed: On Shop orders no 204774Receive inventory part in stock SIV-M0002-1 . only 20pcs*Created shop order with lot size 100 > Release the shop order > Manually reserve the inventory part*Now the shop order in partially Reserved.( because we have only 20 pcs)*Just directly issue- When I issue shop order status is completely Reserved. *Next step I Receive the item. Now the shop order is closed. Shop order closed due to the option Negative on Hand Allowed: On , in the purchase part. Why no Warning message is pop when receive the material.

Hi All, I’ve come across some unexpected behaviour when I over report on a shop order. I’m on Cloud R23R1. In my scenario, I do not know the exact qty for the shop order, so I capacity plan using a best estimate. If production goes well, there is a possibility I may need to over-report. I am receiving in the finished product 1 at a time and backflushing the material & auto reporting the operations. The material side works well, as I’ve ticked the “issue overreported Qty” on the components. On the operations, Over Reporting is set to “Allowed”. On the site settings I have Auto Close Shop Orders set to off. However if I have a Shop order for 10, as soon as I receive in the 10th part, while the Shop Order stays open, the operations on the Shop Order get automatically closed. When I receive in the 11th Part, the part is received & the additional material is issued, but no operation reports/transactions are created. We are building different part #s (so they are on different SOs) to the same build process so we want to be able to charge time and execute the operations of the individual SOs at the same time. How would an employee be able to charge time between 2-5 SOs, where it either evenly splits between the operations, or splits based on lot sizes?

Do you have a recommendation on how we can do the following in Cloud:Indicate that an existing part serial has been used or is re-furbished? Specify on a sales quote, customer order or shop order that a refurbished part (non-serialized) is to be used to fulfill the order? Use different pricing for a non-serialized part based on whether or not it is un-used vs. refurbished? We currently create two part records for this purpose and add a suffix of -10 behind the part numbers that are refurbished. We’d prefer to only create one part record instead of two.For example, the un-used part number is 1234 and the refurbished part number is 1234-10. Users add the part with the -10 to orders to specify that a refurbished part is to be used to fulfill an order. We looked into Condition Codes but determined that we don’t want to use that option.
Doing an MES integration. Looking through the API explorer, I cannot find an API that will allow us to start run time/ set up time as a team. We find plenty of start Machine Clockings, or labor clockings. I can only find start team using the virtual assistant. Surely there’s a way to start it with one API call. Current setupis as follows. Hi!Our users have noticed that in their previous version it was fine to receive from a shop order into an inbound location of type Production Line. It looks like it was still the case in the Apps 10 version we have access to, so it seems to have been introduced with the IFS Cloud version. Nowadays only Floor Stock and Picking locations are possible, wich will cause them pretty big changes in routines, since organizing the shop floor into production lines has been a key factor in controlling the reservation of material from the right locations. What motivates this change?/ Kenneth

I have product that is MS Scheduled as it is forecasted. It does not have a ‘buildable’ structure as it is only made as by-product of other parts. There are plenty of Shop Orders that will make this part as by-product but they are not showing up as Supply in IPAP.
Apps10IEEScenario: Shop order operation is for a quantity of 10. Emp 1 will complete 6 and Emp 2 will complete 4. They cannot be part of a static team (I think) because they normally would not work on the same shop order at the same time. They will probably start and finish at different times.We just purchased SFWB licenses. I am making sure we are doing this the most efficient way possible. So far I have:Emp 1 Starts ProductionEmp 2 Uses Modify Ong Op to join the operationEmp 1 uses Approve Op and changes Qty to Report to 6 and does not close operation and does not stop clockings because Emp 2 is still working on the operation.Emp 1 then uses Modify Ong Op to leave the operation.Is there any way for Emp 1 to report a qty complete and leave the operation at the same time instead of doing it in two steps as I have above?Thanks
I have an alternate component set up and the product structure has the Alternate Exist checkbox checked on the component line. There is no inventory of the original part and there is inventory of the alternate component part. But when I try to process a shop order the Alternate Exist checkbox is not checked on the shop order and when I right mouse on the line and choose Alternate component/replace, I get an error that No alternate component is defined or component qty required is zero, but that is not true, what am I missing?
How can I update the default (*) routing from a set of alternates? For example, I have a new machine which is now the preferred manufacturing route. The old machine is still in use and is a valid routing, so I won’t retire this routing and up rev. I’ll create an alternate routing for the new machine at the current rev, but I want to make this my default. Using IFS V9

Hello,I would be really interested to hear thoughts on the following situation. I’ll use a ready meal process as an analogy.We have a process that creates a product (mash potato), from a blend of potato A (peeled potatoes) & potato B (skin on potatoes) . Both types of potato are bought in as raw material. This blend can be a range of 30%-70% potato A, but varies each time the process is run, as done by eye as exact ratio is not important. Over a year it balances out at ~50% which can be the assumption for costing. The mash potato is then immediately used in 10 different end products. E.g. 250g in 10 different types of ready meal.From a costing point of view, assuming the mash is 50% of each type is ok. However from a planning point of view, we need to work out the best way to handle & consume inventory of Potato A & Potato B, so we can trigger the reorder process.
