How to get details of users screen access via query APPS 10

Hi @rajkumar,In IEE, go to Create User screen and query for the user. Under the User Settings section, click on Security Settings. Click on the link “View Security Summary for User <UserName>”. All the Permission Sets that are granted to the user and all the Permission Sets that are granted to those are shown in the list at the top. Hi @Darshana Herath, @Charith Epitawatta , if we configure ifsappproxy.basicAuthEnable, will it enable the button for the compatibility option? I haven’t tried this myself, but it will not enable the button you are referring to which is available in IFSAPP10. This change is done in proxy level. Therefore, once the change is done, if you describe the ifsapp-proxy container, you would see the environment variable “BASIC_AUTH” is set to enabled. kubectl describe pod ifsapp-proxy-xxxxxxxx-xxxx -n <namespace>Hope this helps!

Hi @Darshana Herath,You can do this by setting the ifsappproxy.basicAuthEnabled to true in the ifscloud-values.yaml file. About the system parameter of "Cleanup age limit in days for Iam Events Log"

Hi @NECKAWA,As you have discovered yourself, the purpose of the parameter is to define how long to retain IAM related events in the system. Mainly, there are 2 types of IAM related events called Login Events and Admin Events which are documented here:https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/23r2/030_administration/010_security/040_iam_settings/080_authentication_auditing/030_auditing_events/You can see these events in the Login Events and Admin Events pages in Aurena respectively. These events are recorded for auditing purpose. One thing to be aware would be that these events, especially login events, could grow quite a lot within a short time frame and could consume a lot of space in the relevant database tables. It would depend on the using patterns of the end users. So it might be a good idea to not set the value too high for the parameter. Hope this helps!

Hi @decdknudson,We have seen some issues on certain occasions when the hostname has upper case letters. If your hostname contains uppercase letters, please try and change the hostname to all lowercase and see if that helps. Hope this helps!

How to delete failed JMS Message from web-logic console

Hi @Sasanka,You don’t need to use Oracle Weblogic Console for this. You can use IFS Middleware Server Admin Console. Login to IFS Middleware Server Admin Console. Navigate to Main Cluster → JMS Resources. Select the queue to view the available messages. Delete the stuck messages as per your need. You can do the same for the Integration cluster as well. Hope this helps!

Oracle single instance database with IFS Cloud

Hi @rayanhimal,Using unsupported versions is highly not recommended. Unsupported means not tested and not benchmarked by R&D. You are much more likely to run into any unforeseen issues than with a supported version and on top of that, you won’t be able to get support from either IFS Support or R&D for such issues. Adhering to the Supported Platforms guide published by R&D is the best practice. Hope this helps!

Unable to connect to the server: x509: certificate has expired or is not yet valid: current time

Hi @VenatorInc,Certificates used in Microk8s usually have a 1 year lifetime. There will be an IFS Cloud major release twice every year. With the evergreen approach, it is advised to be no more than 2-3 SUs behind to make sure the environments are patched for latest security vulnerabilities, bugs etc. and also to get the latest features released with every Release Update.With every RU, a new set of binaries will also be released, which can be downloaded from IFS Cloud Build Place. Ideally, you are supposed to re-install the cluster using these latest binaries. So if you adhere to this evergreen approach, you are not supposed to run into this certificate expiration issue.However, if you still need to renew certificates, there is a cert-manager add-on in Microk8s which can be used to update certificates. I am not sure what kind of an impact it would have with IFS Cloud Middle Tier as it is not mentioned in the documentation or anywhere else, so I wouldn’t recommend using it.Hope this hel

Hi @Edwards,This seems a bit strange. Try logging in to Aurena using an Incognito window in Chrome. Try refreshing Aurena projection and metadata caches. Follow the instructions mentioned here: Try refreshing Security and Dictionary caches as well from Refresh Server Caches screen in Aurena. Hope this helps!

Enable bind variables for SQL Quick Reports in IFS EE

Hi @Matthew,I checked this in one of our reference environments and was able to recreate the error. Behind the scene, Quick Report API validates the SQL statement and it comes out as syntactically correct against the DBMS SQL Parser. A valid SQL statement is generated by processing the parameters as well, which can be run directly in the database, but somehow, IEE show the error. This appears to be a bug and I would recommend reporting this to IFS through a case. Hope this helps!

Hi @joshmein,For customers and partners, there are various courses on IFS Academy to learn all kinds of things related to IFS and get certified as well. There are a set of trainings called “Virtual Recorded Trainings” in IFS Academy where one can do self paced learning and an environment to experiment the things taught in the training is provided as well. I am not sure how it works for an individual who is not either a customer or a partner though. IFS middle tiers with native Kubernetes

Hi @merlin145160,This would fall under the Self Managed category of IFS Cloud. IFS provides software artifacts such as container images, database scripts etc.) that make up IFS Cloud and access to IFS Cloud Build Place. There is no documentation for the self managed option and deploying IFS Cloud using the provided artifacts is completely up to the customer. Knowledge on how to run and operate Kubernetes as well as the Oracle database is required.
