Tax Area ID

We are on IFS Cloud and have a customer saying they are getting charged the wrong sales tax rate. We are using Vertex as our tax software interfacing with IFS. I have reached out to Vertex already and it appears one side of the road is one tax rate; the other side is a different tax rate. Vertex told me to set the Tax Area ID so that can pass thru the ERP. I assume this is on the customer record and probably tied to the address we are sending it. I am not finding a field for this Tax Area ID. Anybody have an ideas?

Document Revisions - Operation in Progress

Hi, The document revision with a file status “Object in Progress” cannot view the attached documents. Is there a way to change the file status of a document revision from “object in Progress” to “Check In”? I tried to detached the errored file and re-attached the same file and it generates new document number, However the document no. with file status “object in progress” is still appearing in the document revision. Thank you in advance :)

Extracting a string value after a specific character

I have a Quick report that shows email addresses from a table view. I would like to only list out the domain ie all characters after the “@” character.Looked at TRIM, but that seem not to work

Consolidate price for similar part numbers on purchase order

Is it possible to consolidate pricing for similar parts on a purchase order? For example, if I’m ordering 500 each of a red, blue and white widget for a total of 1500 widgets, the supplier will extend the 1500 piece price. How do I get the 1500 piece price to show up on the PO when I’m order 500 of 3 different part numbers.

How can I see where the table is used in which interface in IFS?

I found a table named PROJECT_GROUP_LOV in the database.Now i want to add some records to this table.But how can I see where this table is used in which interface in IFS?It should be under Financials => Project Accounting => Projects => Project Groups but there is only PROJECT_GROUPS table here.

Have selected the checkbox for ‘Use as Customer Repayment’ in Payment Formats per Company screen, but still don’t have the option to select it as payment method when creating Repayment Order? What else needs to be selected/set up to allow this?

Upgrade to IFS Cloud || Oracle Export Time

Dear All,We are currently working on upgrading two IFS Managed Cloud customers, one running on IFS 9 and the second one on IFS 10, to the IFS Cloud version. As you are aware, the upgrade needs to be performed on an interim environment. Once the upgrade is completed, we have to return the database to IFS Managed Cloud so they can import it into the new production environment (IFS Cloud) in IFS Managed Cloud.What we have experienced is that exporting from the source database (either through RMAN level 0 backup or Oracle Data Pump export) takes nearly a day or more, making it difficult to plan the go-live cutover. Therefore, with this post, I would like to inquire if anyone else has encountered a similar situation and if there are any tips and tricks to reduce the export time from the source database (hosted at IFS Managed Cloud). Any information on this topic would be highly appreciated. Kind RegardsAmila

How to request "Register the Mobile App" from "mobile app development team" - NotifyMe

Hi,The documentation on NotifyMe App, describes a step to “Register the Mobile App”.Is there a document explaining the process? [IFS Cloud - 23R1 UPD 6] My Status:I have created the Azure Notification Hub. And the notifications are received to the Notification Hub.Which means the Notifications are sent from IFS Cloud successfully to the notification hub. i.e. Application parameters in IFS Cloud are correctly defined. The Notification Hub metrics shows that the requests have failed. Understandably this is due to not setting up the Google and Apple settings which requires keys from the development team.Thank you,Sanjaya

How to remove a company from Matrix Graphical Organization Structure when it is sold

How to remove a company from Matrix Graphical Organization Structure when it is sold ?Can I please know how this is handled within a real business scenario in IFS? If a company is sold in the group and if we do not want to that to be reflected in the graphical Org. structure, what is the next step we can make without affecting financial and HCM data in the sold company.
